The Joint UNECE / Eurostat Workshop "CSPA for Digital Transformation" will be held in Wiesbaden, Germany at the premises of DESTATIS, the German Federal Statistical Office, from 3-5 July 2017, back to back with a workshop of the European Commission ESSNet project on Sharing Common Functionalities in the ESS  (6-7 July 2017). It is being organised in the context of the work of the High-Level Group on the Modernisation of Official Statistics. It aims to pro200px150

mote the use of the Common Statistical Production Architecture (CSPA), to facilitate the sharing of ideas and plans for modernising statistical production, and to identify opportunities for international collaboration activities.

Investors, Designers and Assemblers

Investor

The Investor stream will have a strategic focus. It will discuss why CSPA should be used, how organisations can find CSPA services that are available to share and how they can become CSPA compliant. CSPA describes the Investor role as being "focused on directing and financing the investments in new statistical processes that are needed to produce new statistical products. Investors commission designing, building and running statistical processes."

People who are managers are likely to be interested in this stream. 

Designer

The Designer stream is at the conceptual level and is suitable for those interested in how services are designed, including the methods used in the services and the information flows. In CSPA, the "Designer has been given a set of high level business requirements from the Investor. The Designer then assesses what solutions (services) are available to actually realize this design. Service design includes information design, work-flow, (service) interface design, and other relevant aspects."

People who are methodologists, business analysts, information architects, information technologists are likely to be interested in this stream. 

Assembler

The Assembler stream will have a technical focus on how to build and integrate CSPA services in your organisation. According to CSPA, "the Assembler integrates the Statistical Services according to the requirements of the business process. Depending on the pattern selected for the integration, the Assembler may build or configure a process orchestration, or set up mechanisms for an event-driven type of process."

People who are IT developers and IT architects are likely to be interested in this stream.
