The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), in collaboration with Eurostat and the NTTS 2015 Scientific Committee, invited NTTS participants to join a satellite Workshop on Big Data on Monday 9 March. This Workshop started at 13.00 and ended at 18.00, and was held in the Charlemagne Conference Centre in Brussels (the same venue as NTTS).

The aim of the Workshop was to present the results of the international collaboration projects on the use of big data for official statistics, under the High-Level Group for the Modernisation of Statistical Production and Services (http://www1.unece.org/stat/platform/display/hlgbas).

The results achieved so far were presented, and participants were invited to discuss next steps.
