This is a place for people working in official statistics to share ideas about statistical metadata. The main contents are:
1. Case studies - experiences and lessons learned concerning the development of statistical metadata systems in national and international statistical organizations. Registered users can add, edit and update their case study or comment on others. To register, send your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org (mailto: email@example.com).
2. The Common Metadata Framework - each of the four parts of this framework concentrates on different practical and theoretical aspects of statistical metadata systems. They provide vital knowledge for any person working with statistical metadata. Links are provided to the latest versions, work in progress, and other related resources. 3. The Generic Statistical Business Process Model - this model has been developed as part of the METIS Common Metadata Framework, and provides harmonised terminology and a standard structure for describing statistical production. Documents and papers about the model and a discussion forum are available for information and comment.
4. The METIS Steering Group - This is the group responsible for developing the Common Metadata Framework, and organising METIS meetings.
