!Bitmap in Common Metadata Framework-Very Small.jpg! This is the home page for the Statistical Metadata (METIS) space. This is a place for sharing information and discussion about statistical metadata systems.

It is built using wiki software called Confluence, providing users with the ability to edit their own content and comment on others.

The UNECE, Eurostat, and OECD, work together to help experts in statistical agencies develop the metadata management systems and processes.

Meetings of experts are held every 1-2 years, with the aim of sharing experiences and developing a Common Metadata Framework (CMF). Published on-line, the framework is available at Between meetings, tools such as this provide a mechanism for ongoing collaboration.
