NATIONAL STATISTICS OFFICE OF GEORGIA Lack of specificity in the law sometimes creates confusion among data providers
Statistics Canada The Statistics Act provides wide data access and collection authority for the Agency coupled with strict confidentiality protections that provide some barriers to data sharing and external access. Privacy (personal information) and intellectual property (proprietary data) laws add responsibility to protect data from unlimited use and disclosure as well.
National Institute for Statistics Even if the law allows us access to administrative sources, the management of the sources are skeptical to provide the data precisely because of Personal Data Protection Act.
