Description: This is a statistical metadata model that integrates a develpomental version of edition 2 of ISO/IEC 11179 and a business data model derivable from the Generic Statistical Business Process Model. It includes the constructs necessary for a registry. Forms of this model are in use at the US Census Bureau at Statistics Canada.
Intended use: The model is a framework for managing all the statistical metadata of a statistical office. It accounts for survey, census, administrative, and derived data; and it accounts for the entire survey life-cycle.
