In an SDMX project, like in any project, it is important to define an appropriate project governance.

The governance structure can consist of a single group for smaller projects with low impact on organisational arrangement or business processes. For bigger projects with multiple organisations involved and an impact on working together, it is recommended to work with a steering group on management level and one or more technical group(s) on work level.

The groups should consist of representatives with SDMX expertise as well as representatives with domain expertise. Also domain experts should have a basic level of SDMX knowledge (see also SDMX Skills & Training for Project Team).
