The 2024 UNECE/EFTA Workshop on Moving to a Process-Based Organisation will be hosted by National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova in Chișinău from 19 to 21 November 2024, starting in the morning on Tuesday 19 November, and ending early afternoon on Thursday 21 November.

The meeting will be organised as part of the UNECE Regular Programme for Technical Cooperation (RPTC) for 2024. It builds on work developed under the High-Level Group for the Modernisation of Official Statistics and recommendations from Global Assessments and Sector Reviews conducted in EECCA countries.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss advantages of and tools available for moving to a process-based organisation. Furthermore, to share experiences on moving to a process-based statistical organisation and on how to overcome obstacles and issues on its implementation.

The agenda of the workshop will consist of the following themes:

  • GSBPM, GAMSO, GSIM and other models available to move to a process based organisation;
  • Advantages of moving to a process-based organisation
  • Organisational and Technical solutions to managing a process-based organisation
  • Overcoming obstacles, resistance and issues to implementing a process-based organisation
  • Communicating organisational and cultural change.

Participating countries will share their experiences and discuss in interactive sessions strategies and best practices and their experiences and future plans.

The target audience of the expert meeting expert from Human Resources, managers and other staff involved in implementing or planning moving to a process-based organisation. It is specifically organized for countries that have recently undergone a Global Assessment or a Sector Review on implementing GSBPM and/or GAMSO: Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Moldova and Uzbekistan.
